Decorations available to the public!

PROP WAREHOUSE OPEN TO PUBLIC FOR ARTISTIC RECYCLING PROGRAM - Sixth Star Entertainment and Marketing and Trash to Treasure Creative Reuse Center joined forces to recycle used props and scenic décor leftover from special events and transform them into works of art.  For the first time, Sixth Star opened its warehouse to artists and the general public to tour 20,000 square feet of "treasure".  Items run the gamut and include holiday lights, Styrofoam  shapes, 4'x8' painted scenic theatrical flats and cut outs, metal and plastic pieces, and even some household items.

Representatives from Trash to Treasure were on site to assist the public and answered questions about their program.  The efforts are coordinated through a partnership Sixth Star has developed with Trash to Treasure Creative Reuse Center, a 501c3 not for profit organization.  Doug Jones, President of Sixth Star stated, "Sustainability and supporting our local arts community is important to Sixth Star and this is a perfect project for us to support."    F.A.T. Village Art Walks feature open galleries and special theatre events.  They are held on the last Saturday of each month at 505 NW 1st Avenue, Ft Lauderdale (F.A.T. Village). For more information about Trash to Treasure's membership, programs and activities, please email  or contact Nanette Saylor at 561-504-1078.
